missing fridge early noise
The room lacked a refrigerator something i now consider essential. also, early one morning i was disturbed by cleaning staff. They were quite loud outside my door at 7:30 am. i believe more consideration for sleeping guests is needed. the noise from a hoover being dragged across the wooden floors was not ideal. this overshadowed some of the positive aspects.

I found the location very convenient. It is in the village center. The room, a Beautiful Double Room, had a comfortable bed. I appreciated the sofa and sitting area in the room. Breakfast service was quick and staff were pleasant.
The car park was a little small. I had to park a short walk away and carry my bags to the hotel.

The hotel features a pool (very welcome after a day of hiking!). The pool area offers a relaxing setting. There are several communal guest areas, where one can pass the time.

a romantic getaway
large room comfortable bed seating area
The explorer room was very large and beautiful. a comfortable bed allowed for a restful sleep. we really appreciated the seating area. A large tv was perfect. it included a fabulous bathroom with a walking in shower and a bath. a great extra.
the breakfast portions could have been slightly larger. i wished for a bit more on my plate.

this hotel provides excellent access to local attractions, everything is close. proximity to shops selling gingerbread, chocolate, and outdoor equipment provides convenience. the wordsworth family burial site is also easily accessible.

A pool is available . It looked very inviting. the hotel is family friendly and allows dogs. this allowed us to travel with our pet. a small area at the front and side, with a closed gate, was available to let our dog out when needed.

comfortable sofas lovely pool good breakfast
i found the staff helpful. the breakfast was very good. i enjoyed the lounge with comfortable leather sofas. the big windows offered some nice views. i will return. the leisure centre had a pool that was lovely.

convenient location breakfast choice heating issue no compensation
the location is quite convenient. parking was available on the premises. the breakfast had much choice.
my room did not have heating upon arrival. i had to contact reception several times about it. this issue impacted my stay. there was no compensation offered for the inconvenience.

the breakfast met expectations and offered a good start to the day.
the room i had, a classic double room, felt quite cramped. the bathroom was especially small, either). also, the noise from the street was quite noticeable.
