The room lacked a refrigerator something i now consider essential. also, early one morning i was disturbed by cleaning staff. They were quite loud outside my door at 7:30 am. i believe more consideration for sleeping guests is needed. the noise from a hoover being dragged across the wooden floors was not ideal. this overshadowed some of the positive aspects.

I found the location very convenient. It is in the village center. The room, a Beautiful Double Room, had a comfortable bed. I appreciated the sofa and sitting area in the room. Breakfast service was quick and staff were pleasant.

The car park was a little small. I had to park a short walk away and carry my bags to the hotel.

The explorer room was very large and beautiful. a comfortable bed allowed for a restful sleep. we really appreciated the seating area. A large tv was perfect. it included a fabulous bathroom with a walking in shower and a bath. a great extra.

the breakfast portions could have been slightly larger. i wished for a bit more on my plate.

this hotel provides excellent access to local attractions, everything is close. proximity to shops selling gingerbread, chocolate, and outdoor equipment provides convenience. the wordsworth family burial site is also easily accessible.

A pool is available . It looked very inviting. the hotel is family friendly and allows dogs. this allowed us to travel with our pet. a small area at the front and side, with a closed gate, was available to let our dog out when needed.
